POSITION OVERVIEW
Working as part of the IT Applications Team, the Master Data Management Analyst will lead data governance and master data management (MDM) initiatives to build the MDM Governance strategy. This position is critical in laying the foundation for enterprise data policies, standards, and optimized systems/processes to leverage data as an asset. In this role you will develop data quality assurance frameworks and engagement models, drive prioritization, interface with business stakeholders and technology partners to guide diagnostic analytics and technical solutioning. You will lead the data catalog initiative for successful design, implementation, end user training and adoption. This role will interface with cross functional teams to roll-out the enterprise data management and health scorecard as critical components of information governance at the enterprise level.

Here is what you will do day-to-day
- Implement a comprehensive MDM strategy and operating model, transforming how data is sourced, managed, standardized, governed, and consumed
- Defines and implements master data strategies, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable
- Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
- Lead data standardization, quality, and synchronization across multiple system environment
- Develop/design technology and data architectures leveraging best practices for data governance and data management through all phases of the project lifecycle and technologies
- Enforces master data policies by working closely with data functional owners and/or IT department to ensure alignment of master data rules and policies
- Initiate and manage data quality tasks to continuously improve consistency, accuracy, and manageability for better data quality, uncovering patterns, anomaly detection, and streamlining data-driven jobs
- Serves as a primary point person in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership and data replication to ensure integrity of data sets
- Manage the MDM Product roadmap – use-case and backlog management, prioritization, resource allocation, assess and plan for interdependencies
- Provides data consulting and guidance in support of business and information technology initiatives to improve master data management
- Be an active member of assigned integration projects that involve master data changes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education:
A B.S. in Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business or related area or equivalent work experience
8+ years of related and progressive experience in Data Governance and related fields
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Capability of driving data governance and change management
- Ability to rapidly grasp processes and identify potential solutions
- Expertise of master data initiatives, core data management strategies, and best practices
- Experience in architecting, designing, building dashboards, scorecards, various reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Strong knowledge and experience in defining MDM strategies, implementing MDM capabilities, data governance, data quality solutions
- Experience in business process management to drive continuous improvements, from process understanding to improvement identification/ execution and identifying automation opportunities.
- Familiarity working with data security and privacy standards a plus e.g., GDPR
- Functional knowledge of enterprise source systems and of systems that consume master and reference data, including CRM, ERP and Business Intelligence
- Strong verbal and writing skills, project and time management skills, ability to work in teams
- Proficient in MS office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience in data cleansing and data transformation activities
Base Salary: $131k- $163k plus annual bonus
