Job Summary
Assembles parts and accessories (i.e.: subassemblies) or major products (i.e.: tables and other end items) partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor, following written instructions. As more experience is gained and proficiency demonstrated the Assembler will be given the opportunity to work on more complex tasks and/or work on other product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts according to blueprints and/or work instructions.
- Assemble parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners using hand tools and portable powered tools.
- Operate drill press and hand tools to assist in assembly operations.
- Build quality into products through consistent attention to detail.
- May monitor or provide directions to other Assemblers as assigned and depending on level of expertise.
- Will cross-train to perform other tasks within assembly floor.
- Train other Assemblers to learn tasks as appropriate and according to level of expertise.
- Perform documented in-process quality checks to ensure that the product meets specification requirements, using basic measurement and inspection tools.
- Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
- Complete product packaging as needed.
- Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1-2 years of related experience including blueprints. HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of hand tools.
- Skill in coordination of hand-eye movements and manual dexterity.
- For the more senior level position, must be able to lead and/or train other Assemblers.
- Ability to read working assembly drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to read and follow assembly procedure documents.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Salary range: $22.12 - $24 DOE + annual potential bonus + comprehensive benefits package
