Job Summary
The Electronics Technician is responsible for building, testing, reworking, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic subsystems in Mizuho OSI products in support of R&D Engineering. This position supports the Electrical Engineering staff in the development of Mizuho OSI products.
Responsibilities:
- Work efficiently ordering electrical components, fabricating electrical designs and reworking printed circuit board assemblies.
- Design cable assembly and cable drawing in AutoCad or similar CAD.
- Apply a methodical approach to system level and electrical design concepts.
- Be comfortable with bringing ideas and suggestions forward.
- Build electrical and electronic assemblies in support of R&D Engineering for prototyping and testing the following: surgical table designs, test fixtures, and supporting equipment.
- Test surgical table designs especially electronic subsystems, following established test protocols and documenting the results.
- Interpret technical instructions, schematic drawings, component specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform some diagnostic troubleshooting of circuits, boards, power supplies.
- Interact with other functional groups such as New Product Introduction (NPI) teams.
- Understand Mizuho OSI’s business objectives and the relationship between the Department and those objectives; to support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, to maintain the services and quality levels set by Mizuho OSI, and to continually enable Mizuho OSI to be a great place to work.
- Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
Qualifications & Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; and 3-4 YOE.
- Ability to read circuit schematics and technical drawings that present mechanical, electrical and electronic technical information.
- Ability to solder, assemble electrical cables & connectors, and perform minor PCBA SMT rework.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronics and quickly problem solve electromechanical systems.
- Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) or possess a demonstrated aptitude and comfort level with Windows based programs.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills are highly desirable.

Hourly Pay: $27.00 - $42.00 DOE + potential annual bonus + comprehensive benefits package
