Job Summary
The Leadership Development Training Specialist plays a critical role in building leadership capability across the organization. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality, role-based leadership development experiences, with an emphasis on DDI programs. The ideal team member brings strong facilitation skills, executive presence, and the ability to translate leadership principles into actionable behaviors.
The Leadership Development Training Specialist is a key member of the Learning & Development team, owning the delivery and development of the leadership training programs. This role is responsible for partnering with key members of the department to create training, as defined by the Company's Initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitation & Program Delivery

Deliver engaging, effective leadership development sessions for emerging, frontline, mid-level, and senior leaders.

Facilitate a variety of DDI leadership modules, ensuring learning objectives are met and aligned with organizational competencies.

Integrate DiSC and Five Behaviors concepts into discussions and coaching (administration of assessments is not required).

Establish a professional, inclusive learning environment that promotes psychological safety and constructive dialogue.

Provide practical coaching and guidance to help participants apply concepts to real workplace challenges.
Program Design & Adaptation

Customize leadership programs to align with organizational needs, capability gaps, and performance priorities.

Partner with Learning & Development Director, HR Business Partners, People Leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure content relevance and impact.

Adapt DDI materials and supporting tools to reflect organizational language, examples, and expectations.

Contribute to the development and facilitation of multi-session leadership journeys and cohort-based programs.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Consult with HR stakeholders and leaders to identify leadership capability needs and recommend development solutions.

Support succession planning and leadership pipeline efforts with targeted training recommendations.

Foster strong cross-functional relationships to enhance program adoption and organizational alignment.
Program Coordination & Execution
-
Coordinate with the Training Specialist on program logistics, including scheduling, participant communication, pre-work, materials, and follow-up activities.

Maintain accurate records of participation, outcomes, and progress.

Ensure leadership development materials remain current, relevant, and aligned with industry best practices and organizational priorities.
Assessment Interpretation & Reporting

Synthesize assessment insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders and teams.

Evaluate program effectiveness using established metrics, including participant feedback and behavioral application measures.
Other Duties

Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Learning & Development.

To understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years’ experience facilitating leadership development or professional skills training.

Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage, influence, and guide diverse groups.

Proven ability to translate leadership theory into practical, applicable behaviors.
-
Experience facilitating in both in-person and virtual environments.
-
Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
-
Must have experience with using a Learning Management System.

Strong knowledge of instructional design and Adult Learning Principles.
Preferred
-
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.

DDI Certification
-
Demonstrated fluency with DiSC behavioral concepts
-
Working knowledge of Five Behaviors Team effectiveness
-
Experience designing or supporting cohort-based leadership development programs.

Familiarity with additional assessment or leadership tools (e.g., CliftonStrengths, Hogan, EQ-i, MBTI).

Able to demonstrate the regular use of a time management process.

Ability to use Microsoft 365 products.

Utilize technology to develop synchronous and asynchronous webinars and video sessions.
-
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Pay Scale: $96,000- $130,000 DOE + potential annual bonus + comprehensive benefits package
