POSITION OVERVIEW

The Enterprise Applications Manager is responsible for leading a team of business analysts and technology specialists in the design, development, and support of business applications. The manager is an active thought partner with the business community and an application visionary who guides the team in delivering quality solutions. The Enterprise Applications Manager must also have the technical skills to execute the various jobs of their team to ensure continuing support for the enterprise.

 

The Enterprise Applications Manager will manage exempt and not exempt staff in business and technical support roles in Force.com, SAP and related applications. In addition, is also responsible for communicating to and educating Business System analysts on the software changes or new product functionality.

  • Manage complex projects with an elevated level of quality
  • Provide leadership of end-to-end design workshops and leverage knowledge of industry best practices
  • Lead cross functional teams including employees, consultants, and business users
  • Lead IT team through daily task assignments for production support and continuous improvement projects
  • Make recommendations on information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Understand all business process areas
  • Own overall inventory of reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and/or workflow
  • Lead career development and succession management efforts to ensure retention, motivation, and engagement of current and future team members

 

Here is what you will do day-to-day.

 

  • Manage and lead a team consisting of business systems analysts and technical specialists to create enterprise business solutions.
  • Function as a Project Manager on major projects, providing guidance to project teams made up of internal employees and external consultants.
  • Direct activities to ensure that systems meet quality standards and readiness objectives within defined time and budget targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the business community, working in tandem with business leaders to achieve corporate objectives by directing and leading application development and support teams.
  • Function as a liaison between business and IT to communicate priorities, while managing functional and technical requirements for support and projects.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define strategy, architecture, integration, implementation, and support of Force.com, SAP and related enterprise applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with applications software and service suppliers, engaging them for service when appropriate and managing their efforts when they are engaged.
  • Lead and continually identify opportunities for improvement for business processes and systems
  • Meet regularly with project leads and BSA’s to review designs and recommends solutions for all activities related to the system configuration
  • Maintain active involvement with solution design, configuration, testing, training and deployment
  • Follow software development lifecycle and formal change management methodologies (SDLC)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current and emerging technologies/capabilities for various applications
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, including next generation platforms, and recommend solutions that drive innovation and business value.
  • Identify and resolve gaps in skills, processes, and resources.
  • Managerial duties include budget participation, resource augmentation, and relationship building with vendors and external teams as well as resource allocation.
  • Oversee Application Security
  • Ensure the security of the company's IT systems is well-established and, when necessary, lead upgrades to strengthen controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Understand, follow, and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).

 

 

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Education and Experience: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline with at least five or more years of diverse experience in multiple areas of technology, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Five+ years of experience implementing and/or supporting one or more enterprise applications (Force.com and SAP) in a functional/technical capacity.
  • Minimum of 8 years of systems/business analysis or consultancy experience
  • Ability to collaborate with internal customers and external vendors while identifying opportunities for improvement and demonstrating an ardent desire to learn and grow.
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks coupled with strong analytical & critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of goals and the interdependencies of functional departments and groups (in the manufacturing industry) and the ability to lead large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written), and excellent customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems including system design, databases, and programming concepts.
  • Ability to work through virtual teams and achieve results through others.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and transform them into quantifiable and achievable initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical skills.
  • Must be familiar with full-life cycle (SDLC) development and formal change management methodologies.
  • Must be an initiative-taking thinker with solid business judgment; communicate effectively with all levels of the organization; must have the ability to drive change in a growth environment and the leadership skills to influence change.

Salary Range:  $137, 264 - $171,581 + Annual Bonus
