Job Summary

The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for creating and delivering engaging, customer-centric content in support of the organization’s strategic objectives. This position is expected to contribute to a broad range of marketing, advertising, public relations, tradeshow, and other promotional projects. The Marketing Content Specialist will also work with internal and external resources to evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of the company’s marketing content, systems, and processes to achieve business objectives and address stakeholder needs.

 

This is a newly created position in an exciting, growing Marketing organization!  It is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for the healthcare/medical device industry and communicating how Mizuho OSI’s products allow surgical teams to be the heroes in their patients’ care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in email marketing, copywriting, social media strategy, paid search, and/or omnichannel content strategy. We are seeking a creative copywriting powerhouse with strong project management acumen.

 

A successful Content Marketing Specialist will be able to provide support with the following:

 

Copywriting: Producing high-quality, compelling copy for various marketing channels, including website, emails, social media, case studies, testimonials, promotional materials, etc. Maintaining the brand voice and consistency across all communication channels. Collaborating with design teams to ensure visual and written elements complement each other.

 

Social Media Marketing: Develop a strategy, own the content calendar ,and distribute original content across social media. Create reports based on engagement, give recommendations, and update the strategy based on metrics.

 

Email Marketing: Implement effective email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and engage existing customers. Analyze email campaign performance and optimize strategies for better results, including A/B testing.

 

Content Planning: Execute a cohesive content marketing strategy aligned with overall marketing objectives. Utilize target audience personas to create content that resonates and is specific and appropriate for the designated audience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and business goals. Design and present content in appealing, intuitive ways for a variety of audiences.

 

Omnichannel Content Strategy: Develop and implement a cohesive omnichannel content strategy across digital platforms. Coordinate content distribution and promotion through various channels, including social media, web, and third-party platforms. Monitor and analyze content performance, adjusting strategies to improve effectiveness. Strategize to ensure content is consistent and compelling across channels. Identify emerging trends and competitor strategies to develop new campaigns, while analyzing and recommending effectiveness using defined metrics and benchmarks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a key Marketing contributor to create, write, and edit sales and marketing materials, which include digital and print ads, electronic media, white papers, and other collateral.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Management teams to ensure brand consistency and to help create and distribute content that engages our audience and supports marketing goals. This will involve creating a mix of digital, written and video material.
  • Build the company’s social media presence, including LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
  • Generate product and corporate content appropriate for specific channels (email, social, web pages, google ppc etc..) to spread our value proposition within the regulated medical device industry.
  • Document a process to monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry. Implements said process.
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic, engagement and leads from our digital presence and in-person events through impactful messaging.
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new channels to reach our target buyers.
  • Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase lead generation.
  • Analyze performance metrics across all channels. Track performance of various initiatives, messages, and implement changes to improve business results.
  • Monitor and report on competitive digital presence.
  • Produce reports or presentations to summarize findings and make recommendations for improvement.
  •  Collaborate with web platform provider to resolve website usability issues and address various internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Plans and implements website changes and functional improvements.  Serves as the internal SEO expert. Optimizes web content for SEO.
  • Assist with copywriting and project managing promotional contents for medical congresses and industry meetings.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, forms and other tools (both print and electronic) to more clearly convey product or technical information as required.
  • To understand Mizuho OSI’s business objectives and the relationship between the Department and those objectives; to support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, to maintain the services and quality levels set by Mizuho OSI, and to continually enable Mizuho OSI to be a great place to work.
  • To Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with 3-5 years of experience in content marketing; medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry highly desirable.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience managing and optimizing content in digital platforms.
  • Strategic and creative thinking capabilities to generate innovative content, with an understanding of the medical device regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of google advertising, google analytics, social media platforms and their best practices preferred. 
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Ability to manage vendors and budgets.
  • Proficiency in using content management systems and marketing automation tools desirable.

Salary range: $49,000- $145,000 DOE + potential annual bonus + comprehensive benefits package
