The Material Handler performs a variety of routine and standardized duties in the warehouse/production area including loading, unloading materials in shipping and receiving; packaging and crating finished goods; kitting parts to the Assembly floor.  Is independently responsible for ensuring orders are kitted and parts are issued according to job specifications in an accurate and efficient manner.  This position is responsible for accuracy of inventory and for ensuring quality of product being shipped.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments including U.S. mail.
  2. Kit work orders accurately to assembly floor and ensure parts are issued to the job.
  3. Verify quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products ready for shipment.
  4. Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
  5. Package products into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding.
  6. Build pallets for proper shipping of material to customers to insure no damage to product.
  7. Maintain Main Stores part-by-part inventory accuracy greater than 98%.
  8. Process RMA, RGA, and DMF requisitions.
  9. Cross train in all functions of material handling and shipping.
  10. Operate lift truck and material handling equipment.
  11. Understand, support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements; Support company goals and objectives.
  12. Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI's internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Knowledge of all Material Control operations and procedures associated with the stockroom, shipping and receiving.
  2. Knowledge of ERP systems.
  3. Knowledge of shipping policies with common carriers.
  4. Skill in operating bar code scanner equipment and computer systems.
  5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  6. May be required to certify as a licensed forklift operator.
  7. Requires 1-2 years of shipping and receiving experience. HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Within the Warehouse/Production floor the employee may be exposed to sharp objects, small tools, hot objects, adhesives, UV light, various testing equipment, isopropyl alcohol, soldering equipment, hi-pot testers and other equipment, etc.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. 

 

Salary:  $38,875 - $50,440 + Bonus
