Job Summary

  • We are seeking a talented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and procedures to verify the performance and quality of our manufacturing processes.
  • You will also design and implement comprehensive validation plans and protocols to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of our manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Your expertise will contribute to the optimization of our production systems, ensuring efficient and consistent manufacturing operations.
  • You will engage in complex problem-solving tasks encompassing a wide range of scenarios, requiring the evaluation of various factors. Develops innovative solutions based on available information and past experiences, while adapting existing approaches to effectively resolve issues. Employs critical evaluation, sound judgment, and interpretation to determine the most appropriate course of action. Independently carries out assigned work with periodic reviews during critical junctures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and identify root causes, developing effective solutions from the finished product level down to printed circuit assembly (PCA) or printed circuit board assembly (PCBA).
  • Maintain and update existing test fixtures and evaluate the need for upgrades or replacements.
  • Collaborate with the New Product Introduction team to design electrical test fixtures for new products, whether for in-house use or at contract manufacturers.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at modernizing existing products, improving reliability and repeatability during assembly.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; and 8-12 years of design expeience with emphasis on product design. 
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Proficiency in electromechanical and/or process engineering.
  • Strong technical skills in prototyping and troubleshooting based on engineering documentation.
  • Experience with Altium or equivalent software.
  • Support of Mizuho OSI's internal Quality System policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Excellent internal and external customer focus, with a sense of urgency and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizations.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows OS-based programs and web-based applications. Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and cloud platforms.
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a second language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to vendor sites as required (less than 10% travel).

 

Desired Characteristics & Attributes:

  • Experience collaborating with other departments, such as production, R&D, and operations.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent software.
  • Familiarity with SAP or equivalent environments (e.g., Oracle, QAD, Baan, etc.).
  • Leadership or participation in initiatives focused on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and outsourcing of assemblies.
  • Willingness to travel domestically to support supplier audits and other business needs (<10% anticipated).
  • Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 13485), regulations, and standards (e.g., 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820).
  • Alignment with the company's vision, mission, values, goals, and objectives.

Pay scale:  $130,000 - $150,000 DOE + potential annual bonus + comprehensive benefits package
