Job Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector examines incoming, in-process, sales orders, service depot, and partially or final assemblies while working on the manufacturing floor, in the machine shop or in the inspection lab. In addition, Inspectors are required to cross-train and learn all aspects of inspection as they become more senior in their role and scope of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of inspection tasks to determine compliance that includes but is not limited to inspection of parts, sub-assemblies or finished products using standard physical means and/or mechanical or electrical testing equipment.
- Performs a wide range of inspection duties that include receiving, in-process floor assembly, machine shop, and repair depot.
- Record product inspection results on an Inspection report, complete related documentation, and perform data entry and transactions using ERP system after completion of inspection.
- Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) or optical Comparator based on level of experience.
- Perform testing, gather and document test data for programs and/or projects for Engineering and/or Quality Assurance Engineering.
- Responsible for cleanliness, organization, and overall Quality Operations department appearance.
- Share knowledge and instruct other members of the department and the company, by passing along skills and information to assist them in their development.
- Become an independent employee able to analyze problems and formulate plans to overcome challenges and to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality. To make sound and logical decisions and choose the appropriate courses of action based on the parameters of the situation at hand and to use continual improvement problem solving skills.
- Help create an ongoing effort to improve the Company and the Quality Operations Department through personal action and by contributing ideas to support both the Department and Company’s ongoing improvement efforts.
- May assist in or perform the request for change of engineering drawings and work-related processes through the engineering change control process.
- To Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 2-5 YOE
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning, Tolerance skills and sampling plans.
- Ability to measure accurately using complex to basic inspection equipment
- Excellent computer skills including operating Windows based personal computers, various office equipment and machines, and telephone system. Ability to efficiently and effectively use Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer focus with a high sense of urgency. Ability to provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- To be able to demonstrate an understanding, and the regular use of a time management process, which systematically structures one’s own work to provide for effective task performance and to plan and prioritize items to meet future demands.
- Ability to establish and accomplish goals independently and to function as a positive and productive team member.

Salary range: $25.96 - $29.81 an hour DOE + annual potential bonus + comprehensive benefits package
