Job Summary
The SAP Technology Architect is the principal authority for the SAP technology and asset portfolio, driving architectural excellence, operational integrity, and innovation across all SAP platforms and connected technologies. This role leads the design, modernization, and governance of the SAP ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and scalable IT capabilities. As a technology leader, the Architect is accountable for the overall SAP technical strategy, cloud integration, security, and performance optimization across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Architecture and Technology Leadership
- Serve as the principal architect for all SAP technologies ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure systems aligned with enterprise IT strategy.
- Own the SAP technology roadmap, driving modernization and adoption of mature SAP technology products.
- Manage the strategic relationship with SAP hosting provider, including oversight of ticket handling, service-level agreements, and escalation protocols.
- Review and oversee SAP Basis activities and ensure optimal system performance, availability, and security compliance.
- Act as a mentor and occasional backup for SAP Security, ensuring robust user access and role governance practices.
- Champion BTP adoption by designing and deploying composable solutions using SAP’s Business Technology Platform.
- Define architecture blueprints and contribute to program governance for SAP-centric digital transformation initiatives.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities and translate them into executable technology solutions.
- Mentor internal and external teams across Basis, Security, and Integration disciplines, promoting shared ownership of SAP platform excellence.
- Provide architectural review and sign-off across SAP infrastructure, development and integration projects.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to building internal capability and documentation around SAP architecture best practices.
- Understand Mizuho OSI’s business objectives and the relationship between the Department and those objectives; to support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, to maintain the services and quality levels set by Mizuho OSI, and to continually enable Mizuho OSI to be a great place to work.
- Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP architecture, development, and solution design.
- SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Professional - SAP Enterprise Architect (P_SAPEA_2023), SAP Certified Professional - Solution Architect - SAP BTP (P_BTPA_2408), and SAP Certified Technology Consultant - SAP S/4HANA System Administration (C_TADM_23); Application Architect, or System Architect preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP BTP, SAP Basis, and SAP Security.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP SAC, SAP Foundation Services, and SAP Platform Architecture, and SAP’s Solutions Roadmap.
- Experience overseeing the integration of SAP with third-party systems (Salesforce, Qlik, OpenText, ShipERP, etc.).
- Expertise in SAP deployment strategies, integration strategies, and data strategies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jitterbit, ETL tools, or middleware platforms.
- Knowledge of SAP Joule Architecture AI.
- Background in SAP Basis and Security.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Salary: $146k - $167k plus bonus
